London in February
Since my last trips to UK, I fell in love with this city so much that I decided to keep going there once in a while. And these weekends were no exception. Not willing to take a vacation I decided to fly to London on Friday evening and head back on Monday morning. So here what happened.
Since we had really cold winter in Latvia, we decided to spend one weekend in London. It was much warmer over there and we could finally get together with all our friends in London. This is the first thing we saw when got of the bus. Quite inspiring.
Huge bees all over the place. I guess you can find everything in London.
Met our friend Margarita. I guess it's time to party. :)
Hanging out in one of the bars.
I suppose this city never sleeps indeed.
Chilling at Mews. It is one of Mayfair’s four-floor restaurant and bar with an air of exclusivity. Really an amazing place for the evening.
Even though it was February - even at night we were feeling quite comfortable outside.
Still in Mews later that night.
It was a great evening and so nice to see all friends at once. Especially since I haven't met them in a while.
Time to say goodbye.
One last friendly photo. :)
And of course we can't end up our day without having a cup of coffee at Starbucks.
This was a wonderful view right outside our hotel window. Well to be honest it's not the worst one I've had.
The first place we wanted to see the next day was of course our favorite Hyde park. The weather was wonderful.
This feels more like a spring time.
And here are our animal friends.
So sweet. I guess they are really hungry in winter time.
It's a shame we don't have them in Latvia.
As always a little bit of shopping.
Next stop - Regents park.
Feel the London spirit.
What a wonderful city.
After Regents park was Camden Town.
Its industrial heritage has made way for retail, tourism and entertainment, including a number of internationally renowned markets and music venues that are strongly associated with alternative culture.
I think this is absolutely stunning and unique place which just has to be seen if you ever visit London. I have some more photos and description about this district in my other posts: Christmas time in London and First time in London.
Trafalgar square. Even though it was a little rainy the mood was excellent.
Horse Guards Parade - a large parade ground off Whitehall in central London.comments powered by Disqus
