Disneyland in Paris!
Ever since I was a kid I always wanted to visit Disney World. To see all Disney characters, experience the craziest rides and see why it is so popular world wide. And now since I was going to Paris by bus I decided to spend one day reliving my childhoods dream.
Main entrance to the Disney Village. This is a shopping, dining and entertainment complex near Disneyland. Since you need a whole day for each of them we skipped it and headed to the Disneyland amusement park.
Disneyland Paris is a holiday and recreation resort in Marne-la-Vallée, a new town in the eastern suburbs of Paris. The complex is located 32 km from the centre of Paris. This is the main entrance.
From 1st April 2012, Disneyland Paris celebrates its 20th Anniversary with a whole year of special events and new surprises. Unfortunately it was already June and we've missed the big opening.
Main street right after you enter Disneyland.
It is literally a small city with it's own buildings, streets, boulevards and small restaurants.
Small cafe in one of the street blocks.
Famous Donald Duck sign.
It really looks amazing from the first second you are there.
At the end of the street is a huge castle. It's the center of Disneyland.
Castle is a continuation of Sleeping Beauty. It is 51 m high so you can see it from almost every point of the park.
It really is a wonderland.

A picture of a castle from the book. Even hills and waterfalls are the same.
The Castle features two parts, a dungeon type area in the base and above, a concrete balcony walkthrough area with Sleeping Beauty stained glass windows and tapestries.
A look from the castle on the main street of Disneyland. It's always full of people.
Park is full of different huge decorations.
This is a cinema restaurant place. You can order yourself something to eat and then enjoy the meal while watching Disney cartoons on a huge screen.
The entrance is huge.
Having some lunch.
Star wars ride. It is really amazing how much details they put on every single attraction.
Looking for the entrance.
C3P0 droid from the Star wars..
..and of course R2-D2. :)
There isn't so many people in the morning but at midday it gets really packed and lines just get longer and longer.
Wall-e cartoon character.
One of the best places is the "Pirates of the Caribbean"
The ride it self isn't scary at all but the decorations are terrific.
They have thought through every single detail.
Great place for the kids and their parents.
Huge ship that lies on the shore.
Many beautiful waterfalls.
And this is probably one of the best attractions there is - Grand Canyon ride.
It is quite extreme and really fun. This is something like a roller coaster only through real Grand Canyon in America.
And of course the decoration level is beyond your imagination.
You really feel like you're in a wild wild west.
Around this ride goes real American river ship.
And since the ride begins on the other side of the river, part of it goes under water.

Of course lines to this ride are huge. For this ride the line was about two hours long. But luckily they've come up with a neat system. I can take a fast line ticket which will tell me when to come, for example in two hours. Depending on the line. So I don't have to stay in long lines wasting my time. So I took my fast ticket and continued exploring other attractions.
Later I returned and Ready to ride. It was pretty extreme so I put my camera in a bag, just in case.
The same story is with the shops. You can easily misunderstand is it a shop or a museum.
Trying out new style :)
Another fun ride for the kids but since I have my own car it wasn't that fun for me.
Huge sand castles really make you feel in a totally different place once again.
Another part of the park brings you to African deserts.
And right in the center of the park right after the castle is a Disney park with all cartoon characters you can possibly remember.
Even bushes have been transformed into characters.
Real paradise for children.
Here is the house of Cinderella.
I guess it's time to go back and continue our trip to Paris.
